World Record attempt being made in Salisbury
Sports Therapist Alex Bance is running for 24 hours on behalf of Julia's House
A world record may be set in Salisbury today (Sunday 8th October).
Sports therapist Alex Bance is attempting to travel the furthest distance whilst blindfolded.
"Weirdly, no one's done this before!" Alex said, who added that his offer of furthest distance run deaf and blind was dismissed by Guinness.
However, with the cost of an official adjudicator being very high, Alex has recruited a group of people to self-evidence his attempt.
Alex told Greatest Hits Radio achieving a world record would be 'amazing', he said it's more about setting an example to his two sons that you can achieve anything if you set your mind to it.
The 24 hour run, which is taking place South Wilts Grammar school, started at 2pm yesterday afternoon (Saturday).
It's also part of Alex's fundraising efforts for Julia's House Children's Hospice, with the idea for taking on the run with no sight or sound inspired by the deaf and blind children at the Hospice.
