Wilding has announced it's to close its restaurant and wine shop in Salisbury.

The company opened in the premises left vacant by Café Rouge in August 2021.

Speaking at the time, founder Kent Barker told Greatest Hits Radio it was a little 'scary' and 'brave' to open in the wake of the Covid pandemic, but that 'we understand the market' and 'were expecting to be here for the long term'.

In a post on Facebook the company said the cost of living crisis was having an impact and it was with 'heavy heart we announce our closure':

"The current market conditions and increased costs on food, utilities and labour have made it impossible for us to continue."

Wilding will close from Sunday November 20th.
