Salisbury welcomes a hundred Santas for Naomi House!
The children's hospice charity's been holding their festive fun run
A score of Santas have descended on Salisbury, in support of a local children's hospice charity.
Naomi House and Jacksplace have hosted their Santa Fun Run around the Cathedral Close on Sunday (11th December).
Around 100 people dressed as the big man needed their beards for a bit of extra warmth, as they made their way around the 5K course in frosty conditions, complete with a dusting of snow too!
Those taking part also did a bit of festive Zumba to warm them up for the distance.
All the money raised at the event will go towards the charity's work with children and young adults who have life-limiting illnesses, and to support their families.
It's expected the Salisbury event will raise around £7,500 for the cause.
Charlotte Patrick, Senior Events Fundraiser, said:
“This year's Salisbury Fun Run was like no other, we had real snow! The festive 5k run will raise money for our local hospices for children and young adults.
"This is our second Santa Fun Run in Salisbury and we’re proud that it’s become an important part of people’s Christmas traditions. I’ll look forward to seeing you all again next year.”
