Salisbury is get to its first evet 'Walk of Stars' to Christmas, to honour 'incredible contributions and achievements of local heroes.

Nominations have been opened to put forward those people deserving of a star along Kipper Alley - the walkway between the trees on the edge of the Market Place, next to Blue Boar Row.

There's a whole host of categories in which we can nominate someone - ranging from NHS staff, teachers, young carers, environmental campaigners, good neighbours and a lifetime achievement slot.

We can celebrate someone from South Wiltshire for consideration by using an online form, until November 5th.

The 'stars' will be revealed during a ceremony on November 24th.

That'll create a Hollywood Walk of Fame style area, honouring those who've been nominated.

Ellie Burke, manager of Experience Salisbury said:

"It's an honour to shine a spotlight on those who make Salisbury such a vibrant and wonderful place to live. We invite everyone to take part in the nominating process and join us on 24 November to recognise the incredible stars that grace our city."
