Salisbury wildlife volunteers thanked by Mayor
Members of Salisbury Wildlife Group met with Mayor Hoque
A group of volunteers in Salisbury have been thanked for the work they do on the city's open spaces.
Mayor of Salisbury, Atiqul Hoque, met with members of the Salisbury Wildlife Group, who have been keeping our city and the surrounding areas in good condition.
A special thanks was made for the efforts of the team in repairs carried out to the river bank at Avon Valley Nature Reserve, which saved the city council spending a significant amount of money on the project.
The group meet regularly at locations such as Lime Kiln Down, Avon Valley Nature Reserve and Churchill Gardens, carrying out general maintenance, scrub management and coppicing.
