Salisbury City Council have taken another step towards becoming carbon neutral in 2030, by purchasing it's first electric vehicle.

They've got a Ford Transit Custom Electric Hybrid van, which will be used to travel with equipment to Salisbury’s play parks on a daily basis.

In June 2019, the local authority declared a climate emergency and are working to make the city as carbon neutral as possible by 2030.

The van has been added to their fleet of vehicles and can already be seen on the city's roads.

They have also got plans to purchase another electric/hybrid van later this year as part of their goal to replace or convert all City Council owned or operated vehicles to electric powered vehicles as soon as is practically possible.
