Suspected drink driver arrested on A36 in Salisbury
The driver was further arrested for not having insurance
A man’s been arrested on suspicion of drink driving after a single car collision in Salisbury.
Police officers were called to the A36 near Petersfinger around 8.00pm last night (Wednesday 16th August), after a vehicle had crashed into a ditch.
The driver, a man in his 30s, was arrested on suspicion of drink driving having blown above the legal limit.
He was then further arrested on suspicion of driving without insurance and driving otherwise in accordance with a licence.
The man was taken to hospital where he was treated for minor injuries.
He's now in police custody for questioning.
