Hundreds of people have flocked to a field in Pitton to enjoy Salisbury's first pick-your-own-sunflower patch!

Set up by mum of three Charlotte Harvey the 'happy flowers' have been a huge success but sadly the heat has curtailed the event a little sooner than planned.

Salisbury PYO Sunflowers opened on the 30th July . It was originally hoped to run until Sunday 14th August but Charlotte has confirmed to Greatest Hits Radio today (10th August) is the last opportunity for visitors to enjoy the 'sea of colour' before the flowers go past their best.

Charlotte says she's been 'overwhelmed' by the support and plans to plant more sunflowers next year!

"I am so, so grateful to have met you all and so pleased the sunflower fields have lifted your spirits, as they have mine. "
