Record amount raised for Salisbury Hospice at Summer Fair
£75,000 has been brought in for the charity's vital work
Salisbury Hospice has raised a record amount at this year's Salisbury Summer Fair - held at Wilton House on Saturday (3rd August).
The charity say they had 4,500 visitors, bringing in at least £75,000 for their work providing palliative care and support for families.
This was the 10th edition of the event.
The Fair included arena performances such as spectacular motorcycle and falconry displays together with duck herding and live music.
Greig Futcher, Event Fundraiser at Salisbury Hospice Charity said:
“Firstly, Wow! We are overwhelmed by the incredible support and generosity shown by everyone who attended The Salisbury Summer Fair.
“The funds raised will make a significant difference in helping us continue to provide vital care and support to our patients and their families. Our heartfelt thanks to all the performers, exhibitors, volunteers and attendees who made this event such a success.”
“This event would not be possible without the kind support we receive each year from The Earl and Countess of Pembroke, The Wilton House Estate Team, Duncan Scott, Jason Judd, Linda Barrett and our team of amazing volunteers.
"We would like to extend our thanks to our headline sponsor, WBR Group and our additional sponsors whose support was instrumental in making this event possible.”
The funds raised will go directly towards supporting the essential services provided by Salisbury Hospice, ensuring those in need receive the compassionate care they deserve.
The charity has a target to raise over £1 million every year to keep services running both on site and through outreach.
