The Starbucks branch on Southampton Road in Salisbury has permanently closed.

The store next door to Next has been operated by 23.5 Degrees, Starbucks first UK franchised business partner, since 2015.

A sign in the window of the store at Dolphin Retail Park thanked customers for their support over the past seven years.

It was Salisbury's only remaining branch of the popular American coffee chain after the city centre store closed in May 2020.

But coffee lovers visiting the retail park will still be able to get their fix as Costa Coffee will be going into the vacant store.

The company has two branches in the city centre already.

A spokesperon for the company told Greatest Hits Radio;

"We’re delighted to confirm that a new Costa Coffee store will open on the Dolphin Retail Estate, Southampton Road in Salisbury in late May 2022. We look forward to opening our new store and hope the space provides members of the local community with a place to take some time out of their busy day to sit back, relax with their favourite Costa coffee while meeting up with friends and family members. We look forward to sharing further information on this new store in due course.”
