Three Salisbury shops to star in BBC design show
City's independents to appear on TV
Three of Salisbury's independent shops are to feature in a TV show tonight hosted by comedian Alan Carr.
Annie's Just Jane, Brides by Victoria and Casa Fina will appear in this year's series of Interior Design Masters on BBC One.
The show focuses on new designers looking for a break who are set a series of challenges to win a life changing contract.
This week's episode is shops.
The finished designs will be judged by head-judge Michelle Ogundehin and guest judge Mary Portas with the designer who fails to meet the brief sent home.
Susi Mason from Casa Fina told Greatest Hits Radio it was brilliant to be involved;
"It was so fabulous to be included in Episode 4 of the current series of Interior Design Masters as I’ve been a fan since series 1. Salisbury was looking amazing when they filmed in July and it was such a great opportunity to show off some of our indie businesses especially as all three are run by women."
The whole experience was a delight and we are all so looking forward to seeing the Shops episode on TV tomorrow.
Alan Carr was spotted filming in the city back in the summer describing the city on his Instagram as 'beautiful.'
And he even had time to chat with locals!
Speaking to Experience Salisbury Rhia Douty, Interior Design Masters producer, said:
“We thoroughly enjoyed filming in Salisbury. The city’s architectural beauty, rich history and culture was a perfect fit for Interior Design Masters, and we were warmly welcomed by the community. Thanks to Casa Fina, Brides by Victoria and Annie’s Just Jane for letting our designers loose on their businesses. We hope you are enjoying their spaces.”
