Three brand new scooters have been added to the fleet at Salisbury Shopmobility - and they've been named after some long-standing volunteers with the service.

The new equipment's been funded by the Friends of Salisbury Shopmobility (FoSS).

They've been named after Chairman Andy Thomson, Treasuer Hugh Abel and Fundraiser Trace Gill - who between them have clocked up nearly 60 years of volunteering and support for the service.

Mayor of Salisbury, Councillor Tom Corbin and Mayoress Caroline Corbin, attended a naming ceremony for the scooters, and thanked the trio for their efforts.

FoSS has been working with the Salisbury City Council run Shopmobility service for many years, providing funds for new and replacement equipment.

That's then available for members to hire, if they have difficulty getting around the city centre, helping people to maintain their freedom and independence.
