Salisbury Shopmobility reopening TODAY
The office had been closed due to 'structural damage'
Salisbury's Shopmobility office will reopen for staff and visitors today (Wednesday 26th February), after being shut for nearly a week.
The base, in The Maltings car park, had been closed on Thursday (20th February) by the City Council, due to structural damage to their building.
A car's believed to have crashed into a brick wall there.
Staff and customers were evacuated, with work taking place on site to make it's safe to return.
The area's been boarded up since.
The Friends of Salisbury Shopmobility posted on their social media about the reopening, saying:
"We are happy to report that our building is now safe to access and we will be getting on with the task of cleaning and making the place ready to reopen.
"Hopefully we can get the equipment fully charged and the premises ready to go for 9am WEDNESDAY 26TH FEBRUARY! We thank you for your patience and look forward to getting back to normal."
The service rents out mobility scooters and other equipment to people who need support to get around the city centre more easily.
