Salisbury Shopmobility have celebrated their 10,000th customer!

The scheme, which aims to enables people with temporary or permanent mobility difficulties to get about in Salisbury city centre and shop independently, reached the milestone on July 22nd with customer Jessica Holmes.

The local mum was given a free year’s membership and hire of the scooter for two weeks to mark the occasion.

After breaking her ankle, Jessie was unfortunately housebound for weeks wondering how to take her children to the park during the summer holidays and was delighted to be congratulated as the 10,000th customer.

She said,

“Being Shopmobility’s 10,000th member has been the highlight of my recovery. Having a mobility scooter has given me some much needed independence back. The staff at Shopmobility have gone above and beyond and I’m so grateful for all their help and support”.
