Salisbury Reds has brought in a new online tool to give their staff a chance to stay in touch with each other.

They've started using a service where employees can chat with each other, while also getting the latest company news and HR details.

Salisbury Reds General Manager Alex Chutter

General Manager Alex Chutter says it's been introduced to in response to the pandemic and wanting people to feel more valued within the team:

"Our focus has always been about providing safe and reliable bus services for those living and working in-and-around Salisbury, but it is also about ensuring the wellbeing of colleagues.

"The past six months has had a profound impact on both our customers and our team, and we want to do all we can to support both.

"Part of that is ensuring our colleagues can stay healthy, both physically and mentally. We've always been big on staff engagement - but we wanted something that would allow even more interaction across our business."

Salisbury Reds say they want to provide the opportunity for their staff to build stronger relationships with each other too, as Alex Chutter explains:

"It's not all about work. Colleagues might want to share details of hobbies, or of their cooking triumphs - it's entirely up to them. This is especially important right now. We know lots of them socialised together in their pre-Covid lives but, with current restrictions, this is not always possible. This is a great way for colleagues to stay in touch and support each other outside of their working hours too."
