The bus operator for Salisbury has increased services for the city's five Park and Ride routes (from Monday 28th February).

Salisbury Reds had dropped the frequency of services in mid January, in response to staffing issues, due to Covid.

Now the company says things are more stable, they've made some changes to the timetable:

  • PR3 to Wilton - buses increased to every 15 minutes
  • PR7 to London Road and Bishopdown - buses will now be every 15 minutes
  • PR9 to Britford - now every 20 minutes
  • PR11 to Old Sarum - increased to every 20 minutes
  • PR15 to Petersfinger - now every 20 minutes

Alex Chutter, Salisbury Reds general manager said:

“This has been an incredibly challenging time for everyone, and our team here at Salisbury Reds has worked tirelessly in the face of colleague absences due to Covid-19.

“Now the city is emerging from the worst of the virus, and we’re delighted to be running more buses on these important services. We would like to thank our customers for their understanding during these difficult times, and look forward to seeing them back on-board over the coming weeks and months.”

The changes also come as Salisbury Reds increased their fares for many routes, effective from Sunday (27th February).

Affected services have seen prices go up by between 10p and 50p per journey.
