Salisbury Reds looking to support city community groups
The bus operator's opened up its Community Fund to applications
Salisbury's bus operator is offering its support to South Wiltshire's charities, schools, sports teams and events, through its Community Fund.
Salisbury Reds takes in applications for funding, help with marketing and even free travel or bus use for the benefit of local groups - choosing which causes will benefit twice a year.
Among its recent recipients has been the Bradbury House respite centre in Old Sarum, St Michael's Community Centre in Bemerton Heath, and Safer and Supportive Salisbury towards the relaunch of their city centre Safe Places scheme.
General Manager of Salisbury Reds, Andrew Sherrington, said:
“At Salisbury Reds, we’re proud to play an integral role within the local community. As well as providing bus services across the area, we endeavour to support and raise awareness for those doing excellent work on behalf of those living here.
“The Salisbury Reds Community Fund is open to everyone - from charities to sports teams - and we encourage anyone who needs a helping hand, however big or small, to apply.”
