Salisbury's bus operator is looking to give back to the local community.

Salisbury Reds wants to support local groups for two months, something they do every year, as part of their Community Fund.

Local charities, schools, sports teams and events organisers can receive financial help, free travel or marketing assistance.

And they're being encouraged to make their applications quickly as the deadline is approaching at the end of October.

Andrew Sherrington, Salisbury Reds general manager said:

“As an established part of the local community, we are pleased to be able to build strong relationships with those living here.

“Of course, we provide a comprehensive network of bus services here, but we also want to provide a boost to groups and organisations who work hard to improve the wellbeing of those living in the region.

“Anyone who feels they meet this criteria can apply to the Salisbury Reds Community Fund - but they must do so before the end of this month to benefit from October’s allocation.

“We introduced the fund to ensure a fair distribution of the support we provide here - and we are looking forward to helping more worthy causes over the coming weeks.”

There's more information for groups on the Salisbury Reds website.

The closing date's at the end of this month.
