South Wiltshire's bus operator is opening up applications for support from their Community Fund.

That was set up by Salisbury Reds to offer help to local charities, schools, sports teams and event organisers.

As well as monetary support, the company's providing marketing, free bus travel and use of its vehicles for events by successful applicants.

General Manager Andrew Sherrington said:

“At Salisbury Reds, we’re proud to be part of this community. We provide bus services across the region but we also actively look to support and raise awareness for those doing excellent work on behalf of those living here.

“The Salisbury Reds Community Fund is open to everyone - from charities to sports teams - and we encourage anyone who needs a helping hand, however big or small, to apply.

“Our Community Fund offers a fair support process and allows us to build new relationships with worthy causes across the region.”

Previous beneficiaries include St Michael’s Community Care in Bemerton Heath and Bradbury House respite centre in Old Sarum.

Applications will be open to local good causes throughout April, via the Salisbury Reds website.

The next set of recipients will be announced in May.
