A Salisbury record shop's got a new lease of life, thanks to investment from a new partner.

Vinyl Collectors & Sellers is teaming up with Poole based Boiler Room Records on the Cross Keys branch.

£250,000 has been invested in boosting stock levels, and improving the layout.

Boiler Room Records has been running for nearly 40 years in Dorset - and is even closing one of their branches to focus on Salisbury.

Paul Smith, the founder of Vinyl Collectors and Sellers, said:

“We are really excited to be welcoming Boiler Room Records to our established shop in Salisbury in what is going to be a collaboration of two successful businesses in music sales with a combined trading history of 66 years.

“Their unrivalled knowledge of sales in the new music scene combined with our extensive knowledge both via online sales and our physical store of pre-owned music sales is going to give the music buying public the best of both worlds in the still-growing market of vinyl record sales.”

The new Salisbury store now offers a much bigger selection of vinyl, including weekly new releases, and the ability to pre-order future releases, including indie exclusives.
