Two people assaulted near Salisbury train station

Police are asking witnesses to come forward

Police in Salisbury are investigating a double assault near to the city's train station.

It's reported a woman was attacked by a man in South Western Road at around 8.30pm on Saturday night (11th February).

A man who then tried to intervene was also assaulted by the same person.

They then left the scene.

The area would have been fairly busy at that time, so officers are asking anyone who saw what happened, or may have passed by, to get in touch with them.

They're also keen to trace the second victim, to make sure they're OK and to help with information.
