After 2 years of uncertainty due to the pandemic, it’s been confirmed that Salisbury's Race For Men is FINALLY going ahead this year.

The event had to be cancelled in 2020 and 2021, because of various lockdowns and Covid restrictions.

But organisers were keen to bring it back, in support of the Salisbury District Hospital Stars Appeal Prostate Cancer fund.

Signs have gone up at the site of the run, encouraging us to get involved

The 3K, 10K and half marathon routes will be back, starting and finishing on Hudson's Field, on Sunday June 5th.

For the first time this year, women are also welcome to take part, to raise money in support of those with male cancer.

Organiser Toby Giles said:

“(My) father was diagnosed with prostate cancer. His early diagnosis and amazing treatment helped to give him the all-clear, and it’s why it’s so important for us to raise awareness for others.

“Race For Men is not only about the money that goes to the hospital, it’s about keeping Prostate Cancer in the public eye so we can find a cure.”

Since the event began in 2015, it's raised close to £50,000 for the Stars Appeal and their prostate cancer fund.
