A pre-loved fashion event at Salisbury's Guildhall has helped to raise £4,753 for the Stars Appeal.

The evening last Thursday (2nd November) brought together a number of local vintage sellers and stores, with a fashion show, live music and refreshments.

Crowds gathered to find out more about sustainable fashion and update their wardrobes, with a party theme ahead of the festive season

It followed a similar event held in Alderbury over the summer, which brought over £2,000 in for the Salisbury District Hospital charity.

The team behind the sustainable shopping are all Stars Appeal supporters preparing for a trek to the Lost City in Colombia next year.

Local businesswoman Lynne Rose, MD at Personnel Placements and a Salisbury BID Director, put it together alongside Corinne Whillock, creative designer and jewellery maker and owner of Lulu & Boo Sustainable Jewellery.

Corrine's husband Mick and Colin Ford have also been working on the event.

Lynne and Corinne said:

"It’s great to be able to bring this unique type of event to Salisbury. We’re thrilled to have been able to bring some amazing sustainable sellers and makers together, to make this a really unique shopping experience and promote sustainable shopping too.

"Being able to raise funds for Salisbury Hospital’s Stars Appeal at the same time has made this event really special and even more worthwhile."
