Salisbury Playhouse chosen for world premiere of new Mischief show
Good Luck, Studio will arrive in October
Salisbury Playhouse is to host the world premiere of a brand new show from the makers of 'The Play That Goes Wrong' and its TV equivalent 'The Goes Wrong Show'.
Mischief is bringing its production 'Good Luck, Studio' to the city between 18th October and 5th November.
It's a collaboration between Wiltshire Creative, the Mercury Theatre in Colchester and the theatre company famous for its farces.
'Good Luck, Studio' takes place on the final night of recording Wibble the Dragon - which is massively over budget and under written.
With one hour left to film, 16 pages to go, and an audience of screaming children getting more and more impatient, the cast and crew know there's trouble ahead.
Henry Shields, who's written the new show, says:
“I am thrilled, delighted, excited and utterly terrified to be presenting my first solo work Good Luck, Studio at the Mercury Theatre Colchester and Salisbury Playhouse. With the help of the Mischief team, we will be creating a show that is extremely funny, totally original, and not at all suitable for children.”
Henry Lewis, the director (best read in the form of Chris Bean, if you know the Goes Wrong series!), says:
“I am absolutely thrilled to making my directorial debut with this hilarious new play."
Tickets for the show aren't yet on sale.
