WATCH: Salisbury couple win big on People's Postcode Lottery
Neil Crossland's got a video call to let know about the windfall.
45 year old Neil's postcode, off Downton Road, was picked out in today's Daily Prize Draw (Tuesday 13th October).
Throughout October, each ticket in the winning postcode gets £30,000 each, giving the couple double that for their two plays on the draw.
Here's the moment that HGV driver Neil found out they'd won £60,000, from People's Postcode Lottery Ambassador, Judie McCourt:
Neil and his partner Laura wer due to get married this year, but had to postpone it due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
They've said the money will go towards the re-planning:
"This will really help pay for our wedding next year so Laura will be very pleased!
"This is just a weight lifted. Most things are booked but there is a still a lot to pay for, but it's sorted now!
"The wedding will be in summer next year so we're hoping the weather will be nice. Laura has organised most of it, so I'm sure she will have some extra things up her sleeve now. No doubt she will surprise me along the way."
NEIL PLAYS TO SUPPORT CHARITIES
32% of ticket sales for the People's Postcode Lottery goes directly to good causes and players have helped raise over £600 million for good causes since 2005.
Neil said that's a factor in him choosing to play:
"That's absolutely brilliant. I support some local charities myself but it's hard to support everything. It's absolutely amazing to help so many through playing."
Today's draw was promoted on behalf of children's education charity, Theirworld, which has received over £6.6 million in funding through the scheme.
