The afternoon teas were sent out to 35 city residents on Sunday (4th October) as the Vintage Tea Party planned at Salisbury Guildhall couldn't go ahead due to Covid-19.

Sandwiches, scones, jam, clotted cream, lemon drizzle cake and a tea bag were delivered to people who would have been invited to the event.

The bag of goodies for older residents meant they could have their afternoon tea from the comfort of their own homes

The Vintage Tea Party was first held last year, to give 80 older people from Salisbury a chance to get together and enjoy some lunch and music from a live band.

The City Council's Community Team and the Silver Salisbury initiative organised it to highlight the activities available to that generation locally, and to boost their physical and mental wellbeing.
