Salisbury music store to close after 60 years of trade
Musicroom is the latest casualty of the city's shopping offer
Music Room in Salisbury are set to close after almost 60 years of trade.
The Catherine Street store is among six out of seven UK branches shutting on March 17th.
The company say the announcement comes as a result of rising costs, but that sales will continue online.
In a post on social media, the Salisbury team say they're 'heartbroken' to be closing, and 'so proud' of what's been achieved there.
The closure comes as other stores have left the city centre in recent weeks, or are due to leave soon.
Stationery chain Paperchase shut last week, with Bryon Burger also shutting their restaurant here too.
Clothing retailer Jigsaw is also going from New Canal, with a closing down sale currently underway.
It's not all doom and gloom though, with work still ongoing to bring Primark and Deichmann Shoes to the Old George Mall.
