Salisbury's MP has moved into a new constituency office this week - so he's more accessible to local residents.

John Glen and his team are using a different space in the city centre, after relocating from Brown Street.

The new home has a downstairs meeting room, so it'll be better for those with mobility issues or pushchairs.

It'll be where he'll hold his weekly surgeries, with no changes to his existing contact email and phone number.

The previous office was based on the first floor, with only stairs for access, so Mr Glen was having to arrange home visits to ensure constituents' meetings could go ahead.

But the change does mean we're encouraged to use email for contact where possible, or post letters to his Parliamentary office in London.

He explained why in his blog:

"For the first time, we are now sharing a building with a number of other tenants. For their protection, Parliamentary security advises against receiving unscreened mail to a shared letterbox.

"Therefore, if you want to write to me and don’t use email, the best address to use from now on is the House of Commons.

"As it always has been, all of my London-addressed mail is screened and then diverted to Salisbury, where I will continue to look at it personally every week."
