Could you help make a Salisbury GP surgery more festive this year?
A competition's been launched by Salisbury Medical Practice.
Last updated 18th Nov 2020
The Practice's branches on Wilton Road, at Bishopdown, and Bemerton Heath say they want to bring some festive cheer to the site this year as it's been 'a challenging year, not seeing patients as much as they'd like'.
A Christmas picture competition's begun for people of any age to send in posters that can be displayed in the surgery buildings, to brighten them up.
Salisbury Medical Practice said:
"Our GP Partners have decided to bring some festive cheer to the Practice and have found a way to engage with our patients this Christmas, remotely!
"We hope this will bring a smile to our staff and patients who are attending for their appointments."
WHAT CAN WE ENTER?
There's no restrictions on the type of pictures we can send in - they can be drawings, colouring in, or paintings and they should be A4 in size.
We're also not to stick anything to the pictures, so they're flat, as they'll need to be laminated for infection control reasons.
They can be emailed, with your name, age, and contact details to katy.gillingham@nhs.net by Friday 11th December.
We can also post entries to Salisbury Medical Practice, Fisherton House, Fountain Way, Salisbury SP2 7FD.
PRIZES TO BE WON
The Practice's Patient Participation Group will choose winners from each age group, including an adult prize, to win vouchers.
Each category winner in the under 18s range will get £20 to spend at the Rocketshop Bookshop in Salisbury:
"We really wanted to show our support to the independent businesses of Salisbury and encourage people to shop locally, and the Rocketship Bookshop is a great example of the unique and wonderful businesses in the city centre."
There's a £20 gift voucher for Waterstones to be won in the adult category.
