Salisbury young artists needed to design Mayor's Christmas Card

A contest has been opened to find the best festive picture

Young artists in Salisbury are being called upon to help design a new Christmas Card that'll be sent out by the city's Mayor.

Cllr Atiqul Hoque has opened a competition for children up to 13 years old to submit a festive picture.

The winning design will be printed on the Mayor's Christmas Card and given out locally, as well as being posted to international sisters cities in the US and twinned cities Xanten in Germany and Saintes in France.

The Mayor of Salisbury, Cllr Atiqul Hoque said:

“Salisbury is the City of stars this Christmastime and I am looking for fantastic colourful entries around this theme. We have so many artistically talented young people in our City and I can't wait to see all of the different entries that come in. Good luck."

An entry form's available from the City Council's website, |newtab) or from the Information Centre in Fish Row.

The closing date's on Thursday 30th November, with a winner announced shortly after.
