Marcin Zdun has been found guilty of the murders of his wife and teenage daughter in a "jealous rage".

Zdun killed 40 year old Aneta and 18 year old Nikoleta at their home on Wessex Road in Salisbury on June 1st 2020.

He's been on trial at Winchester Crown Court charged with murder and the case has been adjourned for sentencing tomorrow.

The trial heard that the 40 year old defendant believed both his wife and daughter were having an affair with a man at the Tesco supermarket where he worked.

The incident happened at their family home in Salisbury in June

He had also become increasingly angry and violent towards his wife because she was not cleaning the house or making meals for the family as he demanded her to.

The prosecution said that his family had become "terrified'' of him in the days leading up to the fatal attack and his wife had sent a message to her mother stating:

"I don't want him to kill us, he's a psycho.''

Nicholas Haggan QC, prosecuting, said:

"Those jealous suspicions, coupled with the breakdown of the marriage, the defendant's eviction from the family home, and the fact that his wife wanted a divorce, we suggest therefore the loss of his controlling influence over Aneta and Nikoleta so angered this defendant that he decided to kill them.''

Polish-born Zdun was arrested at the scene of the crime and police found a folding lock knife in his trouser pocket with blood stains on the blade and handle.

On the morning of the incident he walked through the city to the house and stabbed both women with a knife.

He then attempted to flea the area but was tackled to the ground by workmen working nearby and they held on to him until our officers arrived to detain him.

Giving evidence to the court, Zdun denied "bullying'' his wife but admitted that he put a lock on their bedroom door after his wife moved to sleep in another room so that she would not come in to "nag'' him.
