Salisbury man dies after Netherhampton Road crash

A man from Salisbury, who was seriously injured in a crash on Netherhampton Road, has died in hospital.

The Volkswagen he was driving was involved in a three vehicle collision on Monday afternoon (12th July).

Following the incident, the man in his 20s was airlifted to Southampton General Hospital with serious head, arm and leg injuries.

Wiltshire Police have now confirmed he passed away there yesterday (Tuesday 13th).

His family were with him when he died and are being supported by specially-trained officers.

The force say their thoughts are with them at this difficult time.

An appeal for witnesses to the collision to come forward was released yesterday and officers are still continuing to investigate it.

It involved a tipper lorry, a Volkswagen Polo and a Renault Laguna, and happened at around 2pm.
