Mr Zdun, 40, has admitted in court that he "brutally" killed his wife, Aneta, 40, and daughter, Nikoleta, 18.

The incident happened at their family home on Wessex Road, Salisbury, on June 1st 2020.

The two women were found with serious injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene while the suspect was arrested there too.

Police found a folding lock knife in his trouser pocket with blood stains on the blade and handle, the court was told.

Zdun is on trial at Winchester Crown Court

Nicholas Haggan QC, prosecuting asked the defendant:

"You killed those two women, your wife and your daughter, in the most brutal fashion, didn't you?".

To which Zdun replied:

"Yes".

The accused told the court that he had brought a knife to the address in case he needed to cut a seat belt.

He believed that his wife was having an affair and his daughter was covering up for her.

He also admitted that he believed both his wife and daughter were having an affair with the same man from his work and said this did not make him angry, but sad, ashamed and upset.

Zdun, who said he did not get violent while drunk, denied "bullying'' his wife but admitted that he put a lock on their bedroom door after his wife moved to sleep in another room so that she would not come in to "nag'' him.

The defendant admitted that his wife had asked him to leave the family home after a violent scene in the kitchen, but they were not terrified of him.

He denies two charges of murder and the trial continues.
