Salisbury FC has confirmed another addition to it's squad ahead of the 2024/25 National League South campaign.

Welsh defender Harrison Bright has joined the Whites from Newport County.

Bright, 20, made 10 appearances in Sky Bet League 2 last season for his former club.

Assistant Manager Callum Hart said, "We're delighted to welcome Harrison to Salisbury. He’s an energetic full-back with the ability to beat his opponent, so I’m sure he will excite our fans.

Hart added: "Harrison made double figures in appearances in the football league last season, which is a great achievement for someone so young. I’m also delighted that we have signed a fellow Welshman, so I’m sure you will all welcome Harrison and his family to Salisbury.

The full back made his senior debut for Newport in October 2020 in an EFL Trophy match against Norwich City Under 21’s as a substitute.

He signed his first professional deal with the club in May 2022, before spending half a season on loan at Pontypridd.

Bright also had a loan spell at Barry Town last season, before being recalled to Newport in January.

He's also represented Wales at under-18 level.
