If you've already taken down the festive decorations, or even if you're waiting until Twelfth Night, do you know how you'll be disposing of your real Christmas tree?

Salisbury Hospice is bringing back their annual service to collect and recycle the trees on our behalf, in return for a donation to the charity.

Volunteers support the Hospice's service each year, to raise thousands for the service

Registration for the collections is open for another week, until 8th January, with the pick-ups taking place between the 12th and 14th January.

Volunteers will be out in the SP1, SP2, SP3, SP4, SP5, SP6, SP7, SP9, SO20 6, and SO20 8 postcode areas.

Last time the service raised nearly £27,000 for the Hospice, and their work supporting people with terminal illnesses and their families - both at their site at Salisbury District Hospital and in people's homes.

The trees are also donated to local farms and either shredded for compost and animal bedding or kept whole and used as feed for alpacas and goats!

The collected trees raise thousands of pounds for charity, support local farms and also mean there's one less post-Christmas job to get sorted!

You can register to take part through the Just Helping website.
