Salisbury City Council is taking part in the national Heritage Open Days programme once again.

The special events are a chance for us to take a look around some of the country's most historical landmarks, that aren't normally accessible to the public.

At Salisbury Guildhall, we'll be able to tour the courtrooms and around the Grade II listed building - in time slots between Wednesday 16th and Saturday 19th September.

It was built back in 1795 and has stood proud at the city's civic centre ever since.

Blue Badge guides will take visitors around the Guildhall at 10.00am and 2.00pm each day.

Tickets are free but are very limited for the tours, and will need to be booked in advance through Salisbury Guildhall's Eventbrite.

Last year, the tickets for the Heritage Open Days sold out within just a couple of days.

SAFETY MEASURES IN PLACE

Unfortunately, due to Covid-19 restrictions, the tunnels and cells below the Guildhall won't be able to be included in the tours.

Social distancing regulations will be in place, and visitors will be asked to leave details for Test and Trace.

Face coverings will also need to be worn at all times.
