Salisbury rated as fourth best UK city for nightlife
A study considered the average cost of a pint and night-time safety
It might seem like a surprising result, but Salisbury has been ranked among the best cities in the UK for a night out.
According to a study, which considered things like the average cost of a pint and the number of pubs per city, where we live has ranked 4th.
Only Truro in Cornwall, Wrexham in North Wales and Lichfield in Staffordshire were rated higher.
Our city was in 3rd place for safety when walking home at night (with a score of 72/100) and the average price of a pint in our pubs is £3.50.
A spokesperson for Luck.com, who carried out the survey said:
“This suggests partygoers can enjoy celebrations to the fullest in welcoming environments without paying higher prices that are often found in larger cities, such as London and Manchester.”
Here's all of Salisbury’s scores on the criteria considered:
Number of bars and clubs (per 100,000 people) - 31

Safety score for walking home alone at night – 72/100
Average cost of beer (0.5L) - £3.50
