After a difficult season so far on the pitch, there's some good news for Salisbury FC off the pitch.

A new five year lease for the Ray Mac Stadium has been secured, to begin when the current agreement runs out at the end of May.

The Whites have been playing at the Old Sarum ground since 1997.

In a statement, Club Chairman Ian Hammond, said:

"I am delighted to announce that the Club has finalised a new five-year lease for the use of the Raymond MacEnhill stadium to commence on 1 June 2022, the day after the existing lease expires.

"The terms of the new lease are the same as those in the terminating lease other than the fact that the landlord is taking back use of the (largely wooded) piece of land on the right hand side of the entrance to the facility, but really this just means that Ken’s hut will have to be moved a little closer to the stadium itself.

"Completion of the lease is a really important development for the Club and means that after a difficult season marred by injuries and bad luck, we can look forward to a new season in the Southern League Premier South Division without any concerns regarding our future at the Ray Mac."

Salisbury currently sit 13th in the league table, with six games left to play in the campaign.
