Two more players have been signed for Salisbury FC, ahead of the new Southern Premier League campaign.

27 year old defender/midfielder Tom Leggett joins from Hartley Wintney.

He's come through the Southampton Academy during his career, also playing for Aston Villa in Premier League 2.

Tom has been in the squads at Eastleigh, Basingstoke and Farnborough in recent years.

Salisbury FC boss Brian Dutton said:

"I’m delighted to have Tom on board. He’s a player with a fantastic pedigree having played for both Southampton and Aston Villa as a youngster and was lastly the Captain of Hartley Wintney.

"Tom is a very versatile player who can play numerous positions in defence and midfield."

There's also a new attacking midfielder in the ranks at the Ray Mac.

Charlie Gunson has signed from Dorchester Town, having previously played at Blackfield and Langley, AFC Totton and Wimborne Town.

The gaffer said the 26 year old will be a valuable asset to the Whites :

"I’m delighted to capture the signature of Charlie. He’s a goal-scoring midfielder and a player who is just entering into the prime of his career.

"He was Dorchester Town’s player of the season and we had to fight hard to beat off the competition to capture him. I’m sure he will be a fan’s favourite at the Ray Mac next season."
