A series of free family fun days are coming back to Salisbury this summer, across different parts of the city.

They're being organised by the City Council in Bishopdown, Bemerton Heath, Harnham and The Friary, with community groups encouraged to get involved.

The 'We Love Where We Live' days aim to highlight activities taking place in each area.

The fun days give children and families a chance to get involved with a range of local activities

Salisbury City Council say they're looking for people to get involved to show 'the reason that people love where they live, or who are hoping to set something up that will make it even better'.

Here's when and where the events will be held:

We Love Harnham - Harnham Parish Hall, Saturday 27th July, 2.00pm - 5.00pm

We Love Bishopdown - Bishopdown Sports Field, Monday 29th July, 11.00am - 3.00pm

We Love Bemerton Heath - Pinewood Green, Thursday 1st August, 11.00am - 3.00pm

We Love The Friary - The Green, off Greyfriars Close, Saturday 17th August, 11.00am - 3.00pm

Sarah Gregson, Head of Community Services at Salisbury City Council, said:

"Our team loves running the fundays each summer, and over the last few years the community involvement in these events has grown and grown, making them better and better. However, we can always make new connections and help more people to share the positive things that make where they live a great place to be.

"It is sometimes right to focus on problems that need solving, but our work brings us into contact with all the people in the city taking positive actions and often doing incredible things! Help us to celebrate that at these events this summer. Get in touch!"
