Salisbury eye clinic staff take on charity bike ride
They've raised over £3,000 for two good causes
Staff from a Salisbury eye clinic have raised over £3,000 for good causes, through their third annual charity bike ride.
The seven man team, who work at Sarum Vision at the Millstream Medical Centre, rode from the city centre, through Dorset to finish in Swanage on their first day.
They then continued on along the south coast and through the New Forest to get back to Salisbury after a second day in the saddle.
The 160 mile trip has been in support of Alabaré and the International Rescue Committee.
Naeem Haq, a consultant specialist at Sarum Vision, who organised the bike ride has presented some of the proceeds to Alabaré (pictured above)
Kathryn Furnell from Alabaré said:
"We are delighted to be partnered with Sarum Vision, a specialist eye surgery clinic in central Salisbury. The team has shown such generosity and kindness to Alabaré. We were very pleased to be a beneficiary of their annual charity cycle ride from Salisbury to Swanage and back this year."
Naeem said:
“It was a pleasure to be able to donate this money to Alabaré. We are so grateful to all of those who supported the challenge helping us to raise over £3000 for charity and we look forward to surpassing this next year!”
