Contactless donation system introduced at Salisbury District Hospital
You can now tap to donate £3

There's now a new, quick and easy contactless donating system to support the Stars Appeal at Salisbury District Hospital.
Visitors can now make a £3 donation to the charity by tapping their credit, debit card, smart phone or watch.
The two, contactless donation points, are located in the Main and Spring's entrances at the Hospital.
The charity's team of coin collection volunteers will collect alongside the contactless donations points and offer them as an alternative to those wishing to donate but who are not carrying cash.
Funds raised by the contactless donation points will help the Stars Appeal continue its work benefitting patients at Salisbury District Hospital and supporting the NHS staff who care for them.
Mr Roger Humphry, Eye Surgeon and Stars Appeal Ambassador said;
"These donation points offer a quick and easy way for our brilliant supporters to donate whilst visiting the Hospital. They will complement the excellent work of our team of volunteer coin collectors who we are looking forward to welcoming back as restrictions are eased, and the funds they raise will be vital to us in continuing our charity's work helping thousands of local people in Hospital. "
The charity aims to raise over £1million each year to fund projects which offer direct, practical support to patients, their loved ones and the Hospital's staff.
These projects include advanced diagnostic and treatment equipment, creating new buildings and spaces in which care can be delivered in a bright, modern and patient focussed environment and additional services such as free Wi-Fi and a Staff Counsellor.
