Salisbury District Hospital has announced that mask wearing and social distancing will remain in place on site.

The Trust is continuing with previous Covid-19 guidelines, despite Covid restrictions lifting across England.

The move follows advice from Public Health England.

All staff, patients and visitors are being asked to follow the rules which also includes keeping up good hand hygiene.

Meanwhile, Salisbury Medical Practice are asking their patients to do the same.

Anyone attending any of their surgeries will have to wear a face covering.

In a post on Facebook, the practice said:

"Following on from the announcement that face coverings will no longer be a legal requirement, patients will still need to wear a face covering when attending our surgeries. We have a duty of care to protect our staff and patients.

Some patients cannot receive their COVID-19 vaccinations for medical reasons or have health conditions that mean they are vulnerable so we will be requesting everyone to wear their face coverings at all times when inside the building. This is especially important when in the waiting room or seeing a clinician face to face.

If you attend without a face covering, a member of staff will offer one at the door.

Thank you for your understanding."

Anyone visiting Salisbury Medical Practice will have to wear a mask, unless medically exempt
