Salisbury Crematorium reopens following roof repairs

The site off Barrington Road has been shut over the summer

Salisbury's Crematorium has reopened to the public, following two months of work to repair the roof.

The City Council's been working on the building off Barrington Road over August and September.

Funerals and memorials were temporarily relocated to Salisbury Guildhall throughout, but are now being held on site again.

The repairs to the roof has been described as 'crucial' to make sure the Crematorium remains operational for many years.

Salisbury City Council have said:

"The authority extends its deepest thanks to the Guildhall and Crematorium staff and all involved for their unwavering professionalism and support during this time.

"With these necessary works now complete, the facility is fully operational and ready to continue its role in serving Salisbury and the surrounding areas."
