Salisbury Arts Scene (SAS) is bringing together local people and artists to gather opinions on public art in the city today (Sunday 5th March) for the At in the Square event.

Participants from the Turning Point project and local artists are bringing their works to the Market Place in the hope of creating a new piece of art from the ideas gathered in through the project.

Sally Edwards, Coordinator for SAS said:

“Salisbury Arts Scene events provide an accessible environment for everyone to enjoy art and meet the artists and makers in person. This is a great opportunity for public art to be showcased and discussed.”

The event starts at 10.00am, with a live creation at 1.00pm.

The event offers local people the chance to shape the future of art in public spaces, so if you would like to see more sculptures or increased interactive events, this is your chance to share your view.

The artwork produced by the Turning Point project will be exhibited later in the year, alongside a report of the views of the public from this weekend’s event.
