Lynne Blackwood will no longer represent the St Paul's ward

We could be set for a by-election in part of Salisbury - to fill a space on the City Council.

There's a vacancy for a councillor in the St Paul's ward, as Councillor Lynne Blackwood has stepped down from the authority.

That departure kickstarts a formal process for a replacement.

If ten local electors write to Wiltshire Council in the next three weeks (by October 3rd) asking for an ballot to be held, it has to take place no later than December 5th.

Otherwise, a co-opted member will be chosen.

There's further details on the Salisbury City Council website.
