Salisbury City Council searching for grave digging contractors

Salisbury City Council is calling for suitable contractors to express interest in Grave Digging services in the city.

The authority wants qualified and experienced firms to submit a tender for the service at the London Road, Devizes Road and Avenue Cemetery.

The contract will include supply of all plant equipment, tools and labour to carry out the following tasks:

• Excavate out new graves including Cremated Remains plots

• Excavate out existing graves (re-opens)

• Topping up of sunken graves.

• Level and grass seed as and when required by the Crematorium & Cemeteries Manager

The contract will start on 1st March 2025 and last three years, ending on 29th February 2028.

The closing date for companies to apply is 12.00pm on Friday 6th December.
