Electric vehicle charge points coming to Salisbury car parks
Installation is expected to happen in the New Year
Charging points for electric vehicles are coming to car parks owned by Salisbury City Council.
The city council have teamed up with EVC to equip the car parks at Lush House, Victoria Park and Churchill Gardens with fully funded installations.
The charge points and bays are set to be installed in 2024.
They're being put in by charging point company EVC - who use 100% renewable energy in their networks and have the lowest sustainable low-cost tariff in the industry.
Cllr John Wells, one of the Leader of the Council, said in a statement:
"I am delighted that there will soon be multiple charging bays in the City Council owned car parks which supports our commitment to making Salisbury greener.
“We hope that this will encourage more people to travel electric in our City to help reduce harmful vehicle emissions and improve air quality.”
