Two e-bikes have been added to Salisbury City Council's fleet of vehicles, for staff to travel sustainably during their shifts.

It's part of a Travel Action Plan for the authority to help cut emissions and work towards being carbon neutral.

They've spent nearly £3,900 on the bikes, and additional equipment like helmets.

The bikes are already being used by staff at Salisbury City Council's Tollgate Road depot

It means staff working at the Tollgate Road depot can get around the city easily and sustainable for business travel during working hours.

Cllr John Wells, Chair of the Environment and Climate Committee said:

“The Travel Action Plan clearly sets out the long-term planned commitment of Salisbury City Council to reduce our carbon footprint and improve air quality throughout the city.”
