Works to replace broken paving slabs with tarmacked pathways has been completed in Salisbury's Churchill Gardens has been completed.

The efforts by the City Council have also seen some extra green space created and more trees planted.

But it has meant some of the walkways and the toilet block have been fenced off, with no pedestrian access, since September.

That's meant some have walked across the grass towards Wiltshire College and Southampton Road, leaving a muddy trail through the space.

Salisbury's parkrun has also had to alter its course for the duration.

The upgrades are due to have been finished yesterday (Monday 2nd December).
